Our Community Chapter, the Canadian Freelance Union (CFU), alongside their Comedians unit (CASC), is officially launching the “COMEDY IS ART” White Paper and Campaign written by Canadian comedian Sandra Battaglini.

​

This initiative lobbies the government to formally recognize comedy as an official art form. Comedians are writers, performers, creators, and cultural workers who make vital contributions to Canada's cultural landscape, and our cultural policies need to reflect that.

​

To mark the launch, the CFU is hosting a live comedy show and fundraiser open to all members and supporters.

​

• Admission: Pay What You Can (Fundraiser Open House with Pizza!)
