Bell Media and TV Members,

You may have seen the recent communication from the Company regarding “swipe and go” cases and the actions taken following their investigations.

At this time, the Union has not been advised of any impact to our bargaining unit members related to these matters. We are actively monitoring the situation and will ensure that any member rights under the collective agreement are fully respected and defended if necessary.

We want to be clear: allegations of time theft are serious and, where proven, can lead to significant discipline. As always, members are expected to follow workplace policies and accurately represent their working time.

We also recognize that the Employer has the right to establish workplace policies, including requiring employees to attend the workplace. That said, any enforcement of these policies must be fair, consistent, and in accordance with the collective agreement.

If you have any concerns, questions, or believe you are being investigated or disciplined in relation to this issue, please contact your Union representative immediately before responding or participating in any meetings.

We will continue to keep you informed as more information becomes available.

In Solidarity,

Tracy Nolan

Unifor Local 79M President
